About Career Moves Staff

Judy Sacks is the Director of Career Moves and supervises all Career Moves staff and programs. Judy has over 20 years' experience in workforce development as well as a background in Jewish communal service and a license in social work. Judy has implemented many community partnershipand has been recognized for her contribution to the field of Jewish communal service.

Boston Office

Judy Bottkol is our Resource Center Manager as well as an Employment Specialist. In addition to assisting clients to use our print and electronic resources, Judy designs and delivers a variety of job search workshops, and she provides one-on-one coaching. Judy brings a wealth of experience to JVS having had more than 25 years' experience in Human Resources.

Julie Unger is our Career Networks and Group Program Specialist with the Jewish Women’s Career Network. She facilitates career networking and mentoring opportunities for professional Jewish women through workshops, lecture series and partnerships. She also manages our Career Advisory Network (CAN) where community volunteers provide informational interviews and customized consultation for our professional clients. Julie earned an M.A./M.B.A. from Brandeis University.

Martha Plotkin, Lead Career Counselor, provide career counseling and coaching to professionals as well as students. Martha has an MBA from Simmons College and a M.Ed. from UMass-Amherst. She is a Qualified Administrator of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. Martha facilitates our "Success Team", a group that meets for 5 weeks providing mutual support, ideas and information.

George Zeller is the Career Moves Senior Employment Specialist. He recently celebrated his 20 th aniversary at JVS. George has a Master's Degree in Counseling from Northeastern University, and is past president of the local chapter of the International Association of Career Management Professionals. George is a certified Professional Resume Writer. You'll often find him quoted in the Sunday Globe's BostonWorks section.

Lee Ann Bennett staffs the Combined Jewish Philanthropies Scholarship Committee and is responsible for outreach as well as screening and presentation of applicants to the Committee. Her background is in student services and career education at the university level. She has a M.Ed. in Counseling from Boston University.

Newton Office

Amy Mazur is our Career Counselor in Newton. She is well known in the community as a career development specialist and national board certified counselor. Amy earned her BA from the University of Michigan and holds a Master of Education and Consulting Psychology from Harvard University. She joins Career Moves in January 2004 and brings with her years of experience and commitment to helping individuals find their vocational path by tapping into their strengths and passions.

Stoughton Office

Judy Bottkol offers job search assistance/coaching at our JVS office in Stoughton located at the Striar Jewish Community Center. See Judy's bio above.
