Career Moves at Jewish Vocational Service is dedicated
to providing a fast, efficient and confidential career resource
site which allows professionals and organizations to search for
and fill premium positions. We also strive to provide our members
with all appropriate resources, advice and opportunities necessary
to plan and advance their professional careers. Privacy and confidentiality
are paramount to us and our members, and we continue to make every
effort to ensure optimum efficiency while offering every safeguard
possible to prevent misuse of members' information. Below please
find a comprehensive review of our current privacy policy.
All users:
The web servers used by Jewish Vocational Service automatically
record a user's IP address, page visited, access time, and browser
type for each page requested. This information is used only to analyze
trends and to administer the site.
A "cookie" is a small piece of information that a website
can store in a designated file on your computer. It can be used,
among other things, to identify you when you log in to a website.
When you visit a site, that site can access only the information
that it stored in your cookie -- not information put in your cookie
by other sites. Cookies are only used by Jewish Vocational Service
to allow users to log into the database. They are never used
to track individual usage of the site or to build individual profiles
of users. Cookies from Jewish Vocational Service or from third party
advertisers can be disabled at any time by any user through the
"disable cookies" function on their personal browser.
Job Matching Database Users:
Collecting information:
All data collection and storage is done by the professional
staff at Jewish Vocational Service. We do not outsource any of our
information gathering regarding our own membership base.
The primary function of the information gathered is to facilitate
fast and efficient job searches, candidate searches and job matches
among our user base.
We collect the following information from members:
Jobseekers:
- Name
- Preferred contact information (address, phone, e-mail)
- Professional history/resume
- Work and salary preferences
Employers:
- Contact name and company name
- Preferred contact information (address, phone, e-mail)
- Details of posted positions (if desired)
- Salary ranges of posted positions (if desired)
Information Sharing:
Career Moves provides the opportunity for employers and job
seekers to create profiles to post in our searchable database. When
users create a profile, that information is saved in our database.
Only someone with the appropriate username and password or select
members of Career Moves staff have access to the complete profile
information.
Jewish Vocational Service staff uses profile information only to
analyze trends. All data is used for reporting purposes in aggregate
form only and is NOT used to track an individual's pattern
of use. Only the aggregate data is reported to our third-party funding
organizations to maintain funding for the site and the services
we provide.
Registered employers are able to search our job seeker database
for qualified candidates; registered job seekers are able to search
our job posting database for available positions. Select information
(including personally identifiable information) included in a job
seeker profile may be viewed by employers. Conversely, select information
(including personally identifiable information) included in a company
contact and job profile may be viewed by job seekers. The searchable
and viewable fields are clearly marked on the profile forms. DO
NOT ENTER ANY INFORMATION INTO THESE FIELDS THAT YOU WISH TO REMAIN
CONFIDENTIAL.
Jewish Vocational Service will never sell or share your profile
information in any way to any third party (beyond those previously
mentioned).
Should a user wish to opt-out and terminate membership, (s)he may
personally delete any job profiles or job listings by logging onto
the database and going to the "manage profiles" page,
and (s)he may delete registration information by modifying the registration
profile.
Should the user wish to terminate membership and delete the registration
record entirely, (s)he should contact
Career Moves and make the request in writing.
Career Moves is not responsible for lost or stolen passwords, although
we do provide recovery for forgotten passwords.
Career Moves is not responsible for the retention, use or privacy
practices of any employer.
All users may edit or delete any or all of their information from
our database at any time by accessing their account using their
self-selected username and password and making any desired changes.
Confirmation of individual changes or deletions may be made by revisiting
the site following the changes or contacting
us directly.
We may amend this Agreement at any time by posting the amended terms
on our site. Unless otherwise noted, all amended terms shall be effective
immediately upon posting on our site.
